Q: Why are flies so good at avoiding swats?

A. uhh uhh, i knew this one. It's because they can sense the air movement as the swat comes down, and know from what direction the swat is coming.... so they actually launch in the opposit direction to avoid it. Pretty cool huh.....I also read that they can even launch backwards... and be airborne the moment they rub their wings. Wikipedia also says: Flies have a very highly-evolved evasion reaction which helps to ensure their survival. It is possible to confuse a fly's evasion system by swatting it with two objects simultaneously from different directions. The holes in a fly swatterminimize the air current that warns the fly as being hit, whilst reducing air resistance and increasing speed of the swat.

Q. Why when a person is on death row and about to be executed via lethal injection, do they bother sterilising the needle?

to get a fly, move your hand very slowily towards it then when in range flick it on the head

result: one breakdancing fly to enjoy until you grow bored, then drop a phonebook on it
