I still havent seen another bike I like the look of as much, the only bikes that come close are the R1 SP special edition jobbie or the MV Augusta F4, neither of which I can really afford...

Only gixxer I would actually like to own would be an old school 1100 oil boiler, that or a 7/11, they looked far better with the fairings off. The paint schemes on that era of bike were thought of by people wired on acid, schnapps and little chocolate covered peanuts.

Like i say thats only hearsay,but as things stand i have to admit i don't know whether i'd put it passed it(who knows?).

Then again the moto gp 125s can hit 145,but in saying that i'm damn sure they've had a lot more spent on them than the ?8000 mine has ,which in itself probably less than a quarter of that is performance orientated.

Aye but the ex-owner reconned it had work done... So presuming power wasn't an issue standard gearing wouldnt produce 180mph.

Aye gearing down could make it read higher Beuty of speedo drive off of rear wheel (though at <15mph it aint too accurate ), go Aprilia.

Why what's rev-limit speed in top on one of those?

I think its just over 160mph standard. so limited to about 155-160mph by power in most of the test's ive ever read.

Gixxer or ZX6 though? Hmmmmmm. I've actually tried to get hold of a Silver/White Gixxer 6 to have a good look at over the past couple of weeks but all my local dealer enquiries have drawn a blank, black or blue/white only. Looks like theres none for sale round Cheshire

They've got the white / silver Gixxer 6's in at Road & Racing in Hyde, Just off the M67 (turn left off the Hyde slip road, 100 yards on right after lights) if your in North Cheshire. Or at least they did two weeks ago. Give em a bell on 0161-366 5167.
