I just measured the stock forks, like a muppet I didn't write down the measurement (forgot my pen... ). But I think they were something like 740mm.

SRADs are 725 or 730, so near enough I reckon. The big height loss will come from putting a 17" wheel in there.

But, it's got a steering damper on it, and I'll be getting the frame braced, using more rigid wheels, forks, arm, proper tyres. And I can within reason do what I want with the rear ride height.

Does a fiery ball of death sound iminent?

Love the subframe. Not badly made tbh even if it is a load of box section tube...

Well at least the weight will be rear biased for more wheelies...

The subframes gotta go, or it needs a higher seat, parks the lump at the back of the tank right in your b0llocks.

Stripped some bits off today. Turns out it's got dyna coils, taylor leads. And the carbs full of rusty varnish, and some light surface rust on the cams.

The best subbie and seat to me anyways is off a 2003 R1, it's angular enough to go with the slabby tank and updates the rear end with one of the neatest bike bums in recent memory IMHO o' course...
