I nearly had a tear in my eye seeing the pic of the bike in the ditch, but it looks fine! Not too much damage.

This was mentioned to me yesterday,but could find this thread when I looked last night, never good news, but as others have said, glad you weren't hurt more, shame about the bike,(was this it's first mainland visit ?), but wallet pain is better than physical,heart warming to see others from the Org come to your aid, GWS mate.

WOW TLW, Glad you're in good spirits and not too seriously hurt, although I'm sure the aches and pains will be plenty for you to deal with so I hope you have a swift recovery.

I hear what you're saying about the pics not doing justice to the damage. I just told STretchie that your bike looks like his did on first glance....not really too bad, but the truth was his was a write off with the top yoke completely snapped. It's amazing how much damage can be done with the exterior still looking fixable.

I think you're right about the driver.....probably not a clue what he/she caused, but good on the BMW driver for stopping and helping. Most people don't when they see that others are on the scene so good on him and good on Drew, Hovie and Lily for coming to the rescue. Hovis is going to get a reputation for being first on the scene at this rate!!!

At least you've got enough witnesses so shouldn't be at blame with the ins.
