Incidentally, Carol Nash didn't require a cert from me. I read extensively at the time of restricting my bike, had the washers (curvy) made locally and haven't had it tested. I figure, if its a write-off they won't be able to test it, but I could prove the washers are in there. Had been told buy chap at Suzuki Chesterfield that power should be measured at the crank. |

I'd say go with an insurer who's going to be reasonable about it. Boot. The guy who told you power measured at the crank is either a liar, or illiterate. DVLA literature clearly states "net" power output. Bikes are made to be thrashed.

My restriction kit from the manufacturer is only valid with the bike in standard trim, that includes exhaust, carbs and air filter. I had it dynoed at christmas as the bike was stalling alot and the reading came out at 25bhp!!!
The powers that be will stick to the offical line and say it has to be 33bhp for two years unless you are over 21 and can do an accelerated access course - does that course still exist? |

Im a little late to this but Chris has already said what you need to do... You need to get them to change correction factor to SAE. Oh and put RPM on the bottom not the damn speed.
![]() Or even better, go back to the place with a Flash pen (memory stick) and ask them to put the run file on there and ill have a look at it and set all of the above. Its likely that the guy running the Dyno wont know what your on about when you ask what I mention. Sigh. Knock on wood? ![]() Interesting Curve, its what I expected. I guess the Air/fuel must be kept about right by the ECU run 2nd set of butterflies... Take care. Last edited by ThEGr33k; 09-07-09 at 07:56 AM. |

Hmmm..... I'd go and have a chat with the guy in the local bike shop. For a fairly nominal payment they could issue a certificate confirming that a 33BHP restrictor has been installed, including the Suzuki part number and serial number (if any).
