Theres no need to send it to me or any other mod, just send it off anyway. If Help for Heros gets some money out of circumstances arising because of this then that IMHO a postive from a negative as it were.

Not posted on here for nearly 6 months due to...i'll save that for another day, but i did see this post regarding DD and from the outset it seemed incredibly dubious.
How this bloke has the temerity to pass himself off as SF is a disgrace.

Back many moons ago when Neio had just been banned there was a similar discussion to whether or not DD did actually exist.
Below is what Neio asked me to post on his behalf to try and get some validity from the afore mentioned wannabe action man.

Dave reckons he is an C/Sgt in the SBS! hmmmmm i have my doubts. you all know i am a serving member of t he Royal Signal, nothins special in that.

But here are my sus****ions and observations.

1. When he first posted his location was Wiltshire, a long way to go to work in Hamworthy Poole everyday!! Not only that if he is on a couple hours notice to move its too far to get in and prepped on time. Like he has claimed he is on pager a couple of times and apparently a few weeks back he got called out for a job. I know people move and have houses not where they work.

2. He talks far far to much openly about being in the SBS, showing off and big timing it if you like, The marines , let alone the SBS would not do that ever!! I genuinely know lads in the Signals SAS and they wouldn’t dream of doing that on a forum. His irony is almost laughable claims the SBS want to remain hidden from public view as do the members, but takes every opertunity to poast about his job and what he does.

3. Linked to number 2 , he has posted going on 6000 posts since last year, hmmm all the SF guys i know if they are badged in 18 Sigs working in the sabre Sqns haven’t got time to fart between ops, let alone sit at a PC all day posing **** and big timing. Vey rare for these boys to spend a whole month not either away on exersise, training, on ops or on a course.

4. when he thought I may have been signals SAS he assumed that all the signals SAS were at GCHQ in Cheltenham. errr big no. all the badged SAS signals are in 264 signal Sqn within 18Sigs Hereford. Now given the closeness of our SF community and the way they work any genuine SBS bloke would be fully aware of 264 (SAS) Sig Sqn, its role and location.

5. Recently he posted up a pic showing off with a Sig saur on a desk in front of a PC . Now first off the photo was cropped and in negative format style. Possibly to hide a photo shop of a pistol on a desk???
Now a big geeky here but Poole have had the Dii computer system rolled out and i know for 100% fact they Dii don’t use the 19" wide screen monitor as in the picture, nor do they have speakers connected to them, let alone a MP3 player.as in the Photo he posted The MP3 player connected is a security risk for viruses and the network can detect un authorised USB connections and you will be contacted to remove them. Not only that but the Dii computers wont allow acces to the files on un authorised hardware. I have a Dii terminal at work as does all my place. the terminals are generic across defence none of them would have that set up. not even the ones in MOD main building are like that. Oh and the small fact the SF community mainly use their own secure standalone network with no outside access not even to the regular Dii users. There will be Dii terminals around for contacting the rest of us and doing HR admin etc. but in tiny numbers on a SF base.



6. He has clamed that recently he has just re-passed selection to be fully operationally fit again!! WTF, you don’t have to re pass selection in any of the SF regiments to be regarded fully fit. Yes there will be fitness tests and medicals required before the doc up grades you again. But not having to re pass selection.Selection for the SBS is longer than the SAS and bearing in mind SAS selection is 6 months before probation starts you wouldent re do it to prove you are operationally fit. Not least because Selection is not just about physical fitness. Its also about them selecting you.



7. I bet his posting IP addresses wouldent match any of the IP address our forard facing Internet acces servers and routers use. To access the internet from any MOD site you need a internet gateway service account and this allows access. It also however forces all outbound trafffic through a few servers and routers which i have the IP address of. And i would bet none of the addresses would match any of daves. And before he claims he is ona different system, yes the other one they have is a secure standalone network only the SF community use with no access to the internet. There is NO other networks that allow them internet access.



8. I suspect that Daves answers have given nothig away regarding ops or real tactics as what he has said wouldent take anyone a bit of time to read in waterstones or by googling.

9. Just posted a reply claiming the SBS dont wear a different badge, well sorry all the ones i have seen do, yes they keep the green commando beret but the normal marine badge is replaced by a cloth SBS badge.

I could ask questions that any bloke with in the SF at that rank and positon would know, like if my military extension is 94382 3000 what is the correct digits to enter to speak to me securly??



or how do you contact the guys out on ops on the ground via land comms securley.



I know the answers its part of my job.



Of course Dave will claim he dosent have to answer these claims as he has nothng to prove, fair enough but if it was me wanting to prove me wrong i would answer the simple questions.



Or I will be working on a project that does require me to go to poole in the new year. As a Sgt i am more than happy to meet Dave for some scoff in the Mess at lunch when i am down. If thats the case i will admit i am wrong about my assumptions and thoughts above, take it on the chin and appologise to him in person. hopefully he will have no hard feelings. But i suspect he wouldent want to meet, maybe as he isnt there??



Sorry to rant but people who claim to be something in the SF and are not is one of my real pet hates. It cheapens the work the real guys do with no recognition.

I await the back lash and answers from Dave. If i am wrong i appologise prefusly. I am sure if Dave is genuine he will understand my concerns about wannabees. And he will hold no hard feelings.

Now upon posting this for Neio i got flamed by all and sundry about how Neio was banned it shouldn't have been posted and certain posts were deleted, rightly or wrongly you decide.

I did also recieve a PM from DD not in so many words saying that i was Neios bitch and he couldn't fight his own battles, also i recieved another PM from him asking if i was attending a rideout as he would interested to show me what SBS can do to mere mortals like myself. Did he turn up?

And another thing about what i quoted up there ^^^
Neio asked a certain member on here to check DD's IP address and nothing tallied up ( i've not a clue about computers so don't ask me the in's and out's of how it works)
So there we have it, more wood for the bonfire.

I shall now retire back into my cave and may reappear in another 6 months. Or save the Iranian embassy from terrorists!

my facts are 100% its my Job FFS!!!!!!!!! and i need no sources , i am the source as i work in an area that can present these facts to him. The points about the phones and computers are 100% .and can be backed up. Of course if he knows of a way to post on a forum via a secure network or a work around for MP3 players in a Dii terminal, please tell me as the Dii security team or the other networks security team would be interested in listening to how its done.

Point of order - I do believe Neio was never banned, but merely had his org access 'restricted' for a while. It's like he was on 33bhp internet for the duration and couldn't keep up.

Well DD certainly pulled the wool over most of our eyes! Shame really...bit distasteful.

I do like the bit in Neios post about GCHQ...worked there for a month (contractor) and occasionally saw some high ranking naval officers but never saw anyone else in uniform! I was on the understanding that GCHQ was full of civil servants...
