Earplugs....gah don't any of you listen.

Trust me, if you wanna keep hearing the lovely tones of your exhaust then wear em or later in life you will regret it.
I work in a noisy factory and have to wear them..mandatory. Get em free courtesy of them Just waiting for my UltraEars(or whatever they call em) free too, but cost 70 quid.

When you have a set of twin M4s pointing at you for 1600 miles you learn your lesson, as well as sat over your Art stubby! Earplugs, or let your ears bleed

I have an aluminium BOS exhaust. It came from Germany and i dont think i ve seen any other SV with the same exhaust. I have to say it does sound quite good and it is unbelievably loud when it pops!!!it always puts a big smile on my face!!!!

just started wearing ear plugs but dont like the foam type so want some of the moulded ones with the small holes that let some noise in (not the total block out ones) but at £70 cost a arm and a leg

I wear the laser lite ones, look like rubarb and custard sweets, if you roll em up thin, stick em in they expand to your ear properly. I get them from work. Good thing is if you pull em out slightly for comfort, they won't fall out completely like other cheap foam ones. You can get them on ebay I believe. YC and MissYC use them too.

As for the others I assume you mean the ultra ear one? If so, they are moulded for your ear only, have to go and have them moulded for proper fit. I'm waiting for some of those from work too, they seem to have gone walkabouts...70 quids a lot of money, but worth it, again they come from work free for me

^ yup those are the ones im on about, my instructor had some with 4 small holes in so he could still hear, but the noise was much reduced, but he also had some solid ones that blocked out 90 something % of sound

Alll ear plugs take time to get used to, and indeed fit correctly. The amount of times we get bored to death at work with lessons in how to fit!!!
I haven't worn my new ones yet, but all folk have said they take longer to get used to, as they fit the full ear. Apparently they block out all the main machine noise, but you can pick up detail and conversation better.

Worth it Barwel in any case, better to have hearing later in life than have to stick a horn in your ear like Harold Steptoe, shouting 'ehhhhhhh?' at everyone
Stick with em
