Oh right.
I wasn't aware they modded them bar the sirens, video, comms stuff etc. unless it's something a bit special.

Oh there's some great horror stories around here, good friend of mines sister is a bit of a wrong un, her ex even more so with a restraining order out against him after battering her a couple of times. She's supposedly on some "risk list", funny they took 8 hours to get there when he was battering on door, threatening to break in and kill her etc.

I suppose it works both ways, they've not made any enquiries anywhere about who broke the ex into a load of little pieces a couple months ago
Laziness, workload or justice?

a standard car has to be modified otherwise its too slow, but then again the people i know do most the catching in breaking for a corner then accelerating out again rather high top speed chasing.

The police said private video footage of getting hit and showing there plates wasnt good enough to arrest them even though it showed them clearly hitting the bike? it needed to recorded by a professional witness like a police vehicle, they claimed.

Thig guy?, police biker in an unmarked police bike chasing a speeding biker. I personally don't see how they can justify prolonging this chase for this amount of time and not just pull him over. It's asking for trouble, with the target potentially hurting/killing himself or others. Watch for the bit where there is a near miss with a biker coming from the opposite direction.
Well, he did have his flashing lights on, not much he can really do to stop him if the nut-case refuses to stop.

It's not the brakes that are the problem, it's the tyres. Apart from getting the best rubber (and it has to last too) what else can they do?

I don't see any reflections of blue lights up to 3 minutes at least.

Laziness....definately not. We can't just not go to call because we can't be bothered. More likely to be workload.

AIUI they have to have the OEM recommended tyres and nothing else.

That was tongue in cheek rather than actually meaning it.
edit: actually reading which bit you quoted again, if you couldn't be bothered to investigate that guy getting his arms and legs broken, I'd buy you a pint

But seriously 8 hours when there was real risk of someone getting badly hurt with a 1 year old kid involved and a previous GBH? FFS, with that risk like that Chief Constable should have to roll off his missus and go running.
