The norwegian blue despite its name was first imported into liverpuuuule, hence the association with liverpool FC fans

Yep, although it sparked off the bitter rivalry with Everton after Liverpool FC changed their kit to red and Everton stole the Norwegian Blue as their own mascot

This prompted one of Liverpools greatest minds, Steven Gerrard, to genetically engineer the Norwegian Blue species into the Red Winged Parrot (Aprosmictus erythropterus liverpudlius) by splicing it's genetics with those from a half price red leather sofa from DFS

Amazing history behind the bird...
