My bikes are hibernating for about 2-3 months. I had this with the curvy and now with the Falco.
If left for longer than 2 weeks, bike struggles to start and will only fire up at the 4-5 attempt.

Thought it'll be different with the FI, but it's the same as I had with the curvy

More likely a battery issue than a fuel one.

You done wiring mod the falcow owners suggest?

One other advantage is you can get more accurate fuelling (at least with custom fuel maps)...

Yep, wire mod done, recent battery and a upgraded relay. And it's plugged in to an optimate if I'm away for 2 weeks or longer.
Bike cranks with no problem, just doesn't want to fire up till the 4th-5th attempt, just like the sv. Starts and runs ok when I use it regularly.

My criteria seems to change about twice a year. I'm bang in love with my gsxr at the moment. I love the way it handles and shifts, and the way it can make you feel like a WSB racer with balls the size of jupiter (even though you're not really doing anything special), but then with it being a 12 year old bike it's bigger and comfier than the little superbikes of recent years. It fits me physically & capability wise. It's really easy to work on. I can also throw a shed load of luggage and rain at it, have a great weekend in north wales/scotland/isle of man, and not get too upset if a bungee causes a 10mm mark on the tail piece. If I want to mod/swap/change bits of the bike, there's thousands of threads and guides on the net with it being such a popular bike, not to mention said mods/parts on ebay...

I can see me throwing lots of money at it to really make it mine (power commander to stop it running rich with the race can and k&n, already sorted front brakes with the goodies listed in my sig, prolly pimp the suspension later on, got some fancy looking downpipes which might make it breathe more to name a few bits and pieces)...

If I do go down that route, I'll prolly keep it forever... Then I'll have to see what fits my spec at that point in time

Ok so marginally better fuel economy. Carbs 6 - EFI 2

I like to buy bikes with my heart rather than my head. This means I don't care if its not very comfortable, or not the best looking or fastest bike. I certainly don't worry about practicality, because if I want it then I will convince myself its practical enough.

Saying that, I do prefer to have something other than the usual jap 4s. You wont be catching me on a jap race rep any time soon. I'd love a ducati, but my head is winning that battle so far. Oh, and I don't like hondas. for no obvious reason. I'd rather push a duke than ride a Honda

Quite suprising the difference in reasoning why people want/own the bikes they do.

Some are for a common sense reason, commuters and such.
Others want the looks
Others want the performance (be it cornering or straightline)

Quite interesting. funny how people want different things for different bikes too. Like the commuters, I needed a strong reliable cheap to run bike, with big fuel tank and easy parts. But with my sportsbike the requirements arn't the same.

You need a Tornado or TNT in your life.

I'd love one mate, I think they are seriously good looking bikes. Sadly out of my price range...
