It's a cracker...I really like Laphroaig (been drinking it for years), however Caol Ila was really different whilst still a peaty whisky. I bought some by chance on the ferry on the way back from France last year, I'm sure it was a 15yr old though, not a 12.

There is an 18yo fine oak Macallan that I really want to try. Only problem is, it costs around $300 a bottle here! Have to wait till I'm back in the UK for that one.

Just bought a bottle of Glenfarclas 105 cask strength and it is lovely. (Also depressingly cheap in the UK)
