As in the other thread, I'll have a rack so no need to be faffing with removing wheels and the like

Drew my bike's only a cheapish hardtail, ask Girth - best thing on it is the disc brakes, the forks are cheap Suntour ones that aren't up to much, so I wouldnt worry about what you're riding, it'll still be a giggle.

I wouldn't worry about fitness either, I haven't been on my MTB since March so if I do come I'm pretty sure I'll be in the worst shape out of all of us!

A mate at work has just challenged me to a 35 mile lung-buster in the Peak District the Monday after (25th) so methinks I really need to get out there and start getting some practice in!

Sorry guys but I'm now a definite non-attendee - I had failed to notice that this is the same weekend as a friend's 30th birthday and my presence at her birthday party is compulsory and non-negotiable!

Ok, even though I can't make this weekend, what about this for my new MTB? Price is what I was thinking of paying, plus this is supposedly reduced by £550.

Seems like a good spec, and I'd prefer a hard tail
