IOS (iphone) users views on Android?

Fizz its because noobs can only see one side of the fence and are too stupid to realise that android isn't the be all and end all neither is iOS they are both advanced os's and I feel the need to point out that iOS is just as cabale if not more

Not relevant to this thread but I thought I would be positive for apple for a change, I'm on my 3rd 3GS since august and also had a new dim card to eliminate it, been working great for 3 weeks now, I'm actually pleased at last.

I'll bugger off now after spreading my good news

Still doesnt change the fact that you are all arguing the toss of which piece of consumer grade plastic device is better than the other though does it.

And calling all noobs stupid at the same time, which happens to be the stance pretty much every apple fanboy takes when talking about Apple vs. The World.
This is one of the reasons I stopped having arguments with Apple users and the beginning of the Apple end for me. Funnily enough, a few years ago I used to run an Apple dedicated website in Portugal, endorsed by the official importer (that was before the Apple Portugal subsidiary even existed), and was considered to be one of the few persons to talk to when someone needed help with their Apple computers. After one too many "conversations" with people who had nothing better to do than to keep saying how much they hated Windows (because the last time they used it was back when 95 was all the rage, even though XP was already a mature and usable OS), and how much better OS X.1 was (even though it slowed everyones computer down so much they all had to spend money all over again on brand new G4s loaded with RAM), I decided I was sick and tired of playing that game and quit. I just didn't have the stomach any more.
Every now and again I still get dragged to these kinds of threads, but I quickly regret it because all I see is nothing has changed.
Apple isn't perfect, it was never perfect in the first place, they screw up as much as everyone else does if not even more - they just do it in bigger style, and were lucky - or smart - enough to have Steve Jobs and Jonathan Ives running the show. Unfortunately, the former might be on his way out. As for the second one, time will tell.

I would never buy a mac in my life, and I don't dismiss android as good OS and i am even thinking about the PlayStation phone as my next device.
But most people seem to be deluded of the potential of iOS and think android is much more capable when its not.
As i just proved that android still needs to be rooted (hacked) to do things that I need.
I too don't know why I get involved in these threads as they all go the same way but most people just talk $hit.

Here's what I dont understand.

I have a phone that I am happy with it lets me

1. Make calls
2. Send a text message
3. I can download apps onto
4. I can check my facebook on
5. I can surf the web and look at the org on
6. I can play a few games on.
7. I can upload music onto if I wanted to.

I like my phone, I am happy with my phone I'm happy with what I get charged to use my phone each month.

Yet a little while ago, I was told my a colleague that I was a "sad individual" because that phone that I am perfectly satisfied with is an Iphone 3GS.

Said colleague was disgusted in the fact that it was an iphone 3GS and not a Iphone 4 and that it wasnt even an Android. I asked said colleague to explain themselves and the best reason that they could come up with was "iphones are sh*t", we then had a discussion about how their opinion didnt necessarily make that statement a fact and I felt like said colleague had called my parentage into question.

This is what p*sses me off. I could give two hoots whether one is better than the other. What I resent is the snobbery in both camps over which device is better.

I'm sure my iphone will do more than I use it for, But the ponit here is that its my iphone and I am happy with what it does. I dont need to tweak it, jailbreak it, hack it or fiddle with it. It does what I want out of the box, yet theres an implication that I am some kind of techno retard because I havent done this or that tweak on it.

But can you connect with your phone wirelessly, no matter where it is, add files, remove files etc etc etc? I jailbreak my iPhone for this reason...
