The problem this woman has is that her cat, as it typical of its breed, sees not just its own home as its territory but all the neighbours homes as well. If it is leaving dead things on the back door steps of neighbours it is giving them (in its mind) little gifts and probably wonders why they don't show any appreciation. Bengals are known to be highly sociable and affectionate but no more aggressive than any other breed so it sounds like this woman may have a problem cat, not typical of the breed.

Normally my cats will catch mice which I'm glad of as it saves me putting down poison. However while I was on holiday they loved the cat sitter so much they proudly brought him a dead magpie as though he was deserving of a special treat as their guest of honour. Perhaps this Bengal is trying to impress the neighbours with his hunting skills to win their affection.

Thanks, but again, irrelevant.

Doesn't matter if the cat is black, white, big, small, Bengal or not...it is causing a nuisance and why should everyone else have to put up with it.

The owner wanted it, the owner needs to be responsible. If she doesn't like that her cat can't go out, tough! If it is causing such nuisance, it should not go out freely.

I happen to think cats are incredible. They are just not so special that they should be allowed to run free regardless of what they get up to.

.
completely agree, if the cats are causing distress with her neighbours she should either make it a house cat or if worst comes she should have to get it a proper home with someone who knows how to look after it, i was told by the parents if i didn't sort them out i would have to get rid of them, maybe if the police or council said something to her it would drill it into her head a bit

In this situation Its the owner ,More than the Cat thats the issue.
Yes the cats a pain ,Keep it indoors or move to the country and live in isolation Mrs owner.
My other half has 6 cats.
No issues with them 4(mum 3 kids) related all diffrent caracteristics.
We live next to feilds so they do leve us mic, rats etc
They dont bother the two neighbours with cats,Bougth up with dogs.Poke up to an extent with being pulled about by the young kids down the road.

Wow Cheryl. I think you need to chill out a bit on this one! If it's not affecting you as you keep saying, then I'm not really sure why you are on such a rant about it.

I'm a dog person. There's no question of that but I really am at a loss at what you expect people with cats to do??! Cats are only semi domesticated. They don't get trained the same way as a dog does.

I agree that she shouldn't be calling people ungrateful but I really don't see anything wrong with her giving people suggestions as to how to avoid this car coming into their houses.

This attitude of "but it's not my problem, I shouldn't have to so anything to fix it" really drives me mental. If it is annoying people so much and people are offering them potential solutions which they refuse to do or even consider then they become just as much at fault in my eyes.

And further to that, I'm another firm believer that cats are not the cause of the birds etc dying out. They may be a contributory factor but there are many other factors in it too. And the animal that most likes to kill small animals for fun is a bloody fox. And we all know the fox population is increasing.

Also, don't go to the Police about a cat. There is nothing they can do. I'd imagine it would need to be the council.

Got that one covered already Nic

To be fair, although foxes seem to kill for fun, some of it has to do with them seeing a load of food in one spot and making sure they kill a lot at one time to come back for later, they're a bit limited in how much they can take back to their den. But obviously we clear away all evidence of a massacre and the fox comes back to find more chickens! And a vicious cycle begins But this isn't about wild animals killing prey that we put under their noses, suppose tis t'otha way about!
