But the number of immigrants seeking refuge was down 33% last year, even they don;t want to live in England anymore!
The figures quoting a 33% reduction and there being an actual 33% reduction are two quite different realties I'm afraid. Never trust statistics, especially from political parties.

Back in the day you could only vote if you contributed to society - ie, you paid taxes. Pitty we can't go back to that.

And if you pay 40% then you get 2 votes? That's

Quote from the BBC website on Mrs Dixon, the woamn whose operation has been cancelled 7 times at Warrington:

'Health Secretary John Reid is visiting the hospital at the centre of the row - Warrington General - and Mrs Dixon has invited him to her home in Penketh, Cheshire to discuss her concerns.

He said he would be asking people if the NHS was better or worse than under the Tories.

Mr Reid has indicated he is happy to meet her, but Mrs Dixon says she has not heard from him.'

I hope that Mr Reid can spare the time to come down the A49 to Shrewsbury (he might even recommend some safety improvements to it to the Roads Minister) and tell us why we can't have our MRI scanner up and running and why patients have to wait 100 weeks (in NHS speak, 2 years to you and me) for an appointment. So is the NHS better or worse than under the Tories? Answer's obvious to me.

I don't like the word "peasants", despite the obvious humour in this case.

Dunno why - just makes me feel uneasy.

Strange because in France the term peasant in referring to simple countryfolk is quite normal. It doesn't have the derogatory meaning that it does over here.

The reason broadsheets are large is so you don't have to look at all the common people on your morning commute by train.
