When I bought the SV I wanted a 'fun' bike. And fun it is.

But I have changed and I would like a bike that can do the miles.

I dismissed bikes like the Bandit 650 and the CBF 600 as tat.

Hindsight...such a bad teacher...learn after you need it

May as well get some more use outta the SV.....off to France in 3 weeks and my thoughts after doing 1300 miles in 5 days may change then....

We're off to France next month. Woo hoo. 2,500 in 9 days. Two up. It's easy on a curvy. Hope you have as much fun TC3 as we do when we go abroad.

Bigger bike???? Who needs it???

There will be 3 of us. My bro has rode to Italy before but both myself and a mate are riding in France for the first time. Really looking forward to it and hope to make it a yearly thing. Have drove a car abroad many times so am feeling nice and relaxed

This is odd then. I used silicone grease as suggested. Mind you I am doing about 30 odd miles and it usually gives up about 3/4 the way home in heavy rain. Saying that once I tap the radiator to remove all the water it starts working again. Great bloody design Suzuki. I fail to see why I should put my hand in my pocket to fix a known fault. I expect the bike to work in rain, not one of my other bikes ever had an issue in rain and I do a lot of miles. Sorry to hijack the thread!

I went and had a look at the kwak z1000 (black) yesterday I'm taking Mrs PC to have a look at one in the flesh on Saturday, she has seen the pictures and loves it, so thats half the battle.

I'm arranging a test ride for next week If I decide it's the bike for me, then my Dec 04 SVS will be up for sale within a few weeks I love the bike, but I want to move on to something else.

They only offered me £2500 for a standard bike, so I'm returning the bike to standard trim, selling it private and selling all the other bits seperate to try and get as much as I can.

My mate has just bought a Zed thousand and I was lucky enough to take it for a long test ride. Man that bike is so much fun!!! It's what I'll be buying next. Black does look nice, shame they don't do it in orange anymore.

Aye, black is best mate. On another forum some reckon its got a bad flat spot and that they are a bit peaky??? Other people have said they are a bit gutless
