I've just remembered, that's 30 odd steps, now going down shouldn't be a problem, but given the fact I'll still be in this full cast and I can only manage about 10 steps up at the moment, I'm not sure I can come as I won't be able to get back up them at the end of the evening (lets face it I'm not likely to be doing any strength building before all the ops are done).

real bummer, that was one of my things to aim for as well

Oh well, ho hum
Hang on a mo, theres gonna be a good 20-30 peeps there. i'm sure we can arrange a way to carry you back up them mate. Might involve some pulleys, rope, attchments for engine, a satsuma and a wire coathanger bent into the right shape but hey, wheres theres a will theres a way
Seriously tho Mark, would it be too painfull to get a couple of us to help you up the stairs? Would that put too much pressure or stress on other painfull things?
Could we not just have the tables upstairs instead?

Dan

I thought that too.... but dismissed it as being far too sensible an idea for me to float

I'll have to go see on the way to Soho this Friday and see if we can fit 30 peeps upstairs, As I see that quite a few members of the Wonky Knee gang will be attending

Can definately be done mate. The upstairs is in 2 sections with a dividing wall between and we could easily have one side for all of us. Worth calling and explainging the situation and see what they say. They're nice peeps there.

was really looking forward to this, and if there is anyway to make it happen the I'll jump at it (well hop at least), let me know one way or another.

Cheers Mark.

If they're going to have trouble accommodating our accessibility needs, we could always try the other branch on Roseberry Ave?

Yes I went along to the rosseberry avenue place and it seemed alot duller than the one on uppper high street. They cannot accomadate 30 people only 20 on the Friday so that's outta the question. Upper street cannot acommadate 30 people upstairs as it is not big enough upstairs so I'm afraid we're stuck with downstairs unless we find an alternative venue or we can carry you on a chair down the stairs and back up again, there will be lots of helpers I am sure. We all want you to be there with us enjoying the festive spirit.

I've got this week and part of next to try an sort out another venue if you really cannot manage the stairs??

Dude, the guy has broken both parts of his leg and has no knee. Unfortunately he also lacks the ability to levitate. Yes, we can safely say he will have issues with stairs.

Anyway, the west end isn't exactly short on restaurants.

Dan
Sorry if that sounded a bit harsh, i've been revising all day.

Hey ho will all have bad days esp when revising on such a sunny day so understandable

I've seen the pics of his foot in plaster as well and understand rictus's postion however try finding a restaurant that will take 30 people on a Friday in mid December is not an easy job.
