Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
I had the same advisory two years in a row on my GSX. Our old friend Spannerman serviced it and when he looked he said (in a very gravelly voice between rollups) "it's fine Trev". Third year and the very same MoT centre never mentioned it...
Whenever an MoT tester says something needs doing I always get a second opinion.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
I had rear pads advisory on my SV. I fitted new ones a year later and was fine.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
I use the rear and engine braking much more than the front. The front is for when I REALLY need to stop. Like yesterday when a Harley rider pulled out from a side road, saw his mate stopped on the verge and then hit his brakes while still side on to me.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
Had planned on the years first real ride out on the bike.
Got her all ready last weekend. The bike is right. The weather is right. But the rider was not. Turned around at the first intersection and came back home. Apparently have injured the ankle again on the broken leg (from 16 months ago) that I'm still recovering from. I knew it was swollen but didn't realize I wouldn't be able to bend it far enough down to get under the shifter. I managed to get it back home using the edge of the sole on the side of the shoe to upshift. Guess Spring will have to wait a few more weeks.
