Up until now I haven´t posted in here because to be honest I have disagreed with giving this such a grand platform.

Yes I know I have just left the door open for the likes of you to tell me not to post here now, but, just because I disagree with you, doesnt mean that I dont have the right to post in here and say that not only do I disagree and, my reasons for it as well.

It is becoming clear that DD is/was not the person that people got to know and like over the internet.

Clearly the manner of his departure is upsetting and insulting to many for obvious reasons.

Can I ask however, what purpose it serves to find out more information? (and yes for my sins I have read and digested the whole of this thread!) I understand that some of you would wish to know for sure the depth of the apparent lie.

However, where is the line going to be drawn on finding this information out? The reason why I ask is that it smacks very much of a witch hunt right now.

I know that posting this I run the risk of being flammed but, should the lie be uncovered for sure about DD (which I am actually not too sure how this might be achieved other then constant PI work by members) is this matter then going to be finally put to sleep?

simply anna my dear, no it wont be put to bed even if he was paraded round at ar10, i agree this has turned into a grand platform, a witch hunt yes a bit ,but tbh i dont think people will go much futher to "find the truth" it seems to me to be mainly venting now

I really wish that all this would die a death because I'm spending far too much of my time reading this thread. It's like a good book that you can't put down. I'm satisfied with what has been found out and I'm not bothered that DD is really Lord Lucan or whatever. I'll continue to keep up to date with any developements, but I wont be loosing any sleep over the t*ss*r.

I'm fairly close to hitting the unsubscribe button too, but the final straw hasn't broken the camel's back just yet It will soon I think.

I don't get all the argument about "get on with your life" etc as the people saying must still be reading it themselves and if you think it's useless don't read it, and why is it necessary to slag off those who are still posting/reading?

Gah, you lot are slipping, haven't been on since Friday and I only had to catch up on 2 pages.

So the fella in the article bought some medals and wore them? Is that a crime? I'm just asking cos i read an article the other day about som guy who sold his medals for £70,000.
Are people who buy medals as collectors not allowed to wear them...or is it just bad form to wear them on such an occasion? Anyone know?
