Re: Vintage film cameras
Give Snaps a try, it about £3 a roll C41 plus post dev only. I got a great deal last time, will see what he makes of the gear. Should be enough for a straight swap for what I want.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Is it the Nikon F you are going for? The one with the 1,4 lens.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I spoke with Howard earlier and they are sending DPD in tomorrow to pick up the box of cameras. He was a bit hacked off that he opened for a day then had to shut again. Hopefully the PX deal will be good, we discussed the f1.4 bundle as there wasn't much difference in price.

Re: Vintage film cameras
A lot of places must be hacked off at opening for a day after the holidays and then closing again. Schools too. It must be reallly hard running a business in all this.
I got an email from work today - stay home and work online until the end of June. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Ooof, June? Plenty of time to polish and catalogue all the gear then! I'm still at work but things are a bit up and down at the moment.

Re: Vintage film cameras
No worries. No takers, so it will go to the charity shop once we are off the naughty step.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Got a couple of films back, an uninspiring set from my Olympus Auto S, and 11 from my Super Fujica-6 - I think I wound on twice, as it has a double exposure lock but you can wind on regardless of whether or not you've taken a picture. They looked good, it seems to be focusing a little short so I need to check the RF again. Again nothing too exciting in terms of the pictures, I haven't taken anything good for a while now.
I like the Olympus but the meter is a pain, to the point of not really being able to use it. The needle goes back and forth, not yet figured out why, and sometimes also behaves. It's very similar to the Konica S but you can also see the meter in the VF. Maybe I can fix it, for now it's just irritating, the pictures are nice and the RF patch is very bright. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
I saw the pics on Faceache and they don't look too bad, the one with the Church looked OK. Do you know what settings you used? Sometimes a small aperture can hide focus issues. Nothing worth posting up from the Olympus? I'm scanning the roll from the Pentax at the moment, lots of grain from the expired roll. I did get hold of a Lomgraphy 35mm Digitaliza scanning mask but the sprocket holes are coming out red at the mo, not sure what's wrong as they should be black. My pile of gear is awaiting evaluation by WYC so hopefully I'll get a good deal. Plus my Zorki and LC-A finally arrived with Roger for servicing.
