Re: Vintage film cameras
I don't know much about TLRs but it looks cool. An extra MD wide angle can only be a good thing.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Yoko, I have a Minolta XE1 listed at the moment but very little interest, it has same problem as the one you gave me, ie the prism. Camera appears fully functional, shutter/winder/meter. Any good to you as spares?

Re: Vintage film cameras
Thanks for the offer Kenzie but I'll pass - and cross my fingers mine doesn't die. I'm running out of storage space.
How's it going? I've got the next couple of weeks off work so hoping to finish off a couple of films before the camera shop opens. I've got a processed roll to pick up too. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
It's going OK, work has been really busy of late. Took the bike out again today to scrub in the Angels some more, really good tyres and miles apart from from the old Contis. Just need to do a fluid service on the bike at some point plus plugs. A chap over in Utah sent me a Gatling 72, it's a variation of the Ricoh Auto Half and quite rare in the UK, haven't shot with it yet. I might pull the XE for now and keep it as a spares body.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I'm happy with the Angel 2s as well. They seem pretty durable. I've done nearly 4000 miles on them and there's plenty of tread left. I changed the oil and coolant on my Yamaha yesterday. Was hoping to get out today to check everything out but it was absolutely freezing and blowing a gale.
The Gatling 72 is an unusual looking machine. I don't think I'd ever finish a film in a half frame camera though. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
I loaded a Poundland ten shot roll into it, won't take forever that way. West Yorkshire Cameras are doing a treasure hunt, they are hiding a camera in Leeds City centre then posting up clues on Instagram.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Well, the charity shops reopened today so I checked out the Om1n I spotted a few weeks ago. Absolutely mint. Not a mark on it, fully working and the wind-on is much smoother than mine, though it's silver not black, which knocks off a few points. With 1.7 lens, hood and case, could I resist at £30??
