Re: Possible rideout?
Ok folks, i think we have a good enough respose for the 16th of june, it a saturday, going with keiths help and route: try and be @ Bassets pole by 10am, and we will set off at about 20 past, i should be there by about ten to.
Keiths idea : Basset's Pole, ride to Matlock, have some lunch (fish n chips mmmmm.) Then up A6 to Buxton and up to Cat & Fiddle. Short stop there then back to Ashbourne, this to me sounds a good run, and a day out so thanks keith for sorting that for us most appreciated mate. i was in matlock today testing the chippys out for us all too lol, Hope this is all good for everyone interested keep posting and lets make sure we get as many people as we can to go, like previously said, bring who you want and ride what you like... as kwak said the more the merreir. Re: Possible rideout?
Can I ask that someone who knows the route can run both head & tail please.
We did this on the North Wales run (until Luckypants' unfortunate incident) and it works well. There were 7 bikes out on the day, and we happily split up into 2 groups, everyone riding however they felt comfortable. Just makes the day more enjoyable if there's any novice riders that aren't comfortable at full out blat pace. I'm not fussed about pace, and it'll more depend on my mood on the day. But if you want as many folks as possible, it's obviously better that everyone is made comfortable. Everyone should remember though, to ride their ride, and not go chasing the bike in front. Had to do if you're not used to group riding. |

Re: Possible rideout?
I know the route from Matlock onward to buxton/A57/Cat and fiddle but dont know from Bassett Pole to matlock unless we were to go via the A51 and over the Blithfield Reservoir.
Should be a good day. I fear my work may be playing with security today, so i may be stopped from being on here, so if anyone fancies taking my number and letting me know of any changes then it would be appreciated as access to the internet at weekednd is limited at the best of times.
