Managed to get the restrictors out thank God just needed fairing loosening so i could get access to jubilee clip. Really appreciate all your help, support and patience from all youy guys couldnt of done it without you. Just want to get on the bike and test it now. may have to start a new thread about further advise on tank now . cant believe it. cant ride cos got a broken ankle, cant ride it anyway now cos of tank, and my little two year old son thought he would try and help and got an allen key and scratched the side of the tank. think i should put lottery on maybe.

Apart from that, again big thanks to you all and will let you know how it rides in two weks hopefully when i get cast off

Bit of a bum deal you have had on this job!
Hope everything works out on the cheap side for your tank and well done for sorting your restrictors.
A lot of people would have given up at undoing the tank and taken it in to a dealer.

me was thinkin that- it seems like the last person who had it apart aint put it back with the screw in the best place..

ergo.. they might not have been able to tighten it up properly too and it may just lever off slowly.

and when u put back.. make sure screw is in best place to reach but that would be logical anyway

on my sv I scratched tank with a screw driver.. if workin on bike now I always always cover the tank with a big thick towel and never pass any tools over the top of it.

thats the reason I joined
and the reason i stay.. the old org does pop its head up sometimes..

its generally an ace place to be. I was like you .. asked loads of stuff when I started on here..

Glad we could help you out mate, just a bummer about the tank. Don't s'pose you've had a chance to PM the person who had the curvy tank going for free have you?
