A+ Jimmy What springs you got on that? I really wanna get ours lowered soon as the handling is hilarious and it looks rubbish.. Thinking 50mm might do the trick hopefully

Just CMC heavy duty 60mm drop ones from Ebay bud, link HERE
. They are about as cheap as anyone should go, steer clear of Jamex because they are car rated and no good for a van. Are you on the T4 forum mate? Loads of inspiration on there

Next on the list for handling on mine is a rear anti roll bar and some Gaz adjustable shock absorbers to replace my cheap shortened shocks. You will get there bud, its an expensive job owning a camper, there is always something new to buy.

Yarp, but it's the exact same reason why people spend hundreds on quality suspension for their pug 106 or corsa.. They're still cheap little hatchbacks but they handle better for it & aesthetically it makes the vans look a little less 'van like'.. check out pics of some lowered t4s & t5s - they look mean as hell, espesh with bigger wheels & side bars

Edit - tbh blueberry currently handles like a plate of jelly, especially on roundabouts

Good suspension makes a world of difference. Gaz or Bilstein B6 shocks are the way forward and the rear anti roll bar quickens the steering making the van corner flat. They may be a van but they really do handle well (as well as most cars) with decent suspension. Unfortunatly for me its all about the £££ which i dont have

What sort of prices are we looking at Jimmeh?

Gaz/Bilstein - £
Rear ARB - £

Gaz shocks are about £300 and B6's are closer to £600 TBH the Gaz ones are just as good quality and fully adjustable too. I am going to take a trip to VW this week to price up the ARB but i suspect it will be around the £200 mark. If i was you i would get it lowered first and see how you find it. You can lower 60mm on cheap CMC HD springs using standard shocks and just upgrade the other bits as you can afford to do it.

ah right so the ARB is a vw stock item? Had it in mind that you'd need to get it from the likes of the suspension companies as detailed above.. Think the shocks can wait a wee while!!!!! I'll be better off investing in the lino & bits which I still need to finish

I'm back into Van hunt mode, keep looking at Dubs and concluding that theyre overpriced and not big enough. I'm currently looking at mid wheel base, mid height Transits for the possibility of a race van conversion. I'd love to be able to have a space to throw the bike in the back (for track days) as well as having the living space. Love the little Transits at work but theyre a bit too small for the job. Decent handling though.
