Not for the rear sub frame. The two photos you have put up are a fully faired and a "bikini" faired S, naked Thou' have no front fairing.
The nakeds had the same subframe throughout, but, for some reason the K3 S's had a different subframe from the K4+ bikes and it meant it was a higher riding seat, different infills, different OEM exhausts and different riding seat This .gif should explain ![]() Last edited by Cymraeg_Atodeg; 15-06-14 at 07:56 AM. |

2nd from the left - semi faired or bikini faired 3rd from left - N or naked 4th from left fully faired K and a number designates year of design k3- 2003 k4- 2004 and so on and so on k3 the 2003 designed sv had a higher rear subframe but the k3 N had the 2004 spec lower rear subframe |

I understand the difference now in naked and semi and fully and the diffrent frames ie black...higher and the lower so come to the most comfortable one for 3000 but low milage what type of sv is best I know I might be annoying some people but I just want my last bike to be comfortable and speedy thanks lads you have all taught me something about the SVs I did not know existed

That is the reason I joined this forum initially, talk to the people that own the bikes and you'll get good information.
I would recommend a K5+ fully faired if you can afford it. Milage is a bit of a misnomer. My SV has done 53k miles, but, she is in better condition then some half those miles. The bonus of low miles is it gives the previous owner less time to **** the bike up somehow |
