Well.. I was late! lol

Got stuck on the M5.. and dare not filter on some parts as everything and everything was changing lanes at will!

So I got to the meeting point at 11.45 lol... had some grub, put my waterproofs on.. and went home.. and got utterly drenched! need new waterproof gloves.. as the dye came off, and turned my hands black! hehehe

Filtered like hell on the way home, some idiots about though.. odd driver closed the gap and they knew I ws there..

Maybe next time! hehehe

I would have made it if the M5 wasnt a solid mass of chaos at the time! lol

Just a note to let everyone know, that I'm home safe and only slightly damp. 333.4 miles from door to door.

Thanks for organising the day, Fizz. Pityabout the weather though. It would have been great if it was sunny.

Cheers

Ian

Home safe and sound if not a little stiff around the knees but that's to be expected after 306 miles. As predicted - the A303 was a 'mare, 10 miles of filtering.
Great ride despite the weather, on behalf of Nigel and I, thanks again Fizz, we had a great days entertainment. Shame about the pics on Porlock.

We will give some thought to returning the favour and sort out a route on our turf to include the macadam treasures of A272, A285 and the A286.

Cheers Tim

Sorry guys for abandoning you in Bridgwater. I am too old to ride
all day in the wet.

Had a nightmarish ride home from Bridgwater, traffic jam on the M5
most of the way to Bristol. There was so much traffic (mostly
caravans) that it was even impossible to stop at motorway services,
they were completely choked up.

And on the last roundabout near my house in Trowbridge I saw a Volvo
get out of control and spin half a turn. I negotiated this roundabout at 5mph.

Hope everyone is back safely.

And maybe one day I will ride the full route. Or buy myself better
gear. I came home dripping wet and had to pour out water from my
boots.

Was great meeting everyone. Thanks, Fizz for organising the rideout.
