I'm happy until I see the KTM 990 Adventure, which seems 2007 now.

Definitely not going to get caught up in the R1200GS Adventure thing if and when it comes out unless its lighter and lower than my 12...both unlikely. I dont care what anyone says, as long as its not too low its weight that kills anything more hard core enduro...such as the adv. Maybe a lower first gear would be better than on the current 12. I think I'd rather get a facelift kit for my current GS sometime and make something unique.

I will be very interested to see the new 'softer' KTM tho, which is rumoured lower, a litttle more road oriented, switchable ABS. 990 and FI for definite. Still chain tho.

But I wanna keep the sv to commute on. I can judge the gaps to within an inch more than the bike's width when I'm filtering, it's a perfect bike for getting into and out of cental london!

well, im gonna keep my sv650s forever, but ill be buying a new bike to in a while (prob about 12-18 months). i def wanna keep the sv but i reckon ill go for a sports 600 or maybe a 750 like the gsxr. models im looking into are:

gsxr600/750
R6
CBR600RR
SP-2 (i know its a twin, but i like it)

most likely is either one if the gixxer's but i dont know, there are two more years for honda and yamaha to come out with somthing extra special by then so who knows.

Keep the SV for a few years, wait until got basics of biking dialled, then maybe a Triumph Sprint ST if it isn't too tall for me. But then again if a bigger bike means less filtering then I won't bother.

The sprint is pretty low and I really wouldn't worry about the filtering, it's very nimble and not much wider than the SV.

Have you ridden one ?? "very nimble" is not the phrase I would use. The VFR is probably a better handling machine, but the Sprint isn't bad, but I wouldn't call it "very" nimble.

Once the hooligan leaves me due to age and infirmity...(soon)...mine will be a Ducati ST4.

Like to think I would keep the S4 also but probably that will go and I would get a cool 'scoot' to accompany the ST4.

Scoot - Aprilia
