I think it read "what'll it do mister!?"

Quote from the MAG blurb:

"If stopped at the roadside ask for a 'Deferred Test' of your motorcycle, the inspection of your motorcycle can be deferred for up to 30 days and you can state when and where the inspection is to take place.
A 'Deferred Test' can only be denied if the vehicle is in a dangerous state (i.e. bald tyres or no brakes)
Things such as exhaust cans, small registration plates and headlamp covers are not sufficient grounds to class the motorcycle as 'dangerous' "

I would assume you ask for it straight away, even if they have already started inspecting. I bet it will really p!ss them off though.......
Cheers Andy, this is quality info (if it works ). It's a bit like saying "parlay" to a pirate

Defo - they said they were doing it "every weekend of the summer" although whether this was a bluff, I can't say.

It was on the A822 between Crieff and Milton (there's a wooded area in a deep valley with a car park next to a river on one side - just there). According to Google Earth, it's lat=56.4616 N, lon=3.8031 W!

They also said they were sitting on the A924 between Pitlochry and Kirkmichael but wasn't going that way.

If you ask me, you knew you were taking a risk when you opted for the smaller plate knowing they arent legal. In the same way i know my exhaust isnt legal and accept i could quite possibly receive a fine for it.

Thos are the risks we take.

Sorry, i had to laugh at the "law abiding" comment as well. Not quite true is it?

There aint a citizen in this country thats fully law abiding.
If they want to take our money they should do it honestly and put up tax.Not impose ever more niggling rules and then fine us fo breaking them.
