WRT these laser weaps... I dunno. They have interviews with dudes, who shadowed their faces and changed their voice, that claim that they are in active use, and they have used them. For some time.

They admit to having them. If the US military admits to holding any weapon, I believe it. And more. They are not over the top about these things.

Since when have the govt been completely open about new technology being used? Sounds like a simple form of mis-information to me.

Shrug.

The govt is not the military. I think that military forces, particularly the US one, tend to be very understated about weapons capabilities. They do not release info until they are forced to or everyone knows about it anyway. The info that they do release is always trailing behind what they can actually do.

It makes sense to me.
