I don’t think you can just shrug your shoulders and leave here … so for what its worth, lets get with Ronny-real here … this is a lengthy reply but hopefully should explain things from my perspective …

Firstly you have just totally highlighted my point ... first of all " at every meeting i make sure i am there to save a garage for as many as ten people” ... yes fellow racers you KNOW ... jerkoffs like me never get a garage as there are a handful of people like you who have saved garages for their clique ... you and Chunky ganging up like that and largeing each other up in this thread is also another example ...

Its not only with the main garages, but the little jerkoffs like me who turn up in a van and a piddly awning loose paddock space from the people with massive outfits, that not only have their awning set up (fair enough), but all their caravans, cars, mates cars mates friends cars all taking up prime real-estate … … look set your rig up there, but put all the other carp elsewhere so others have somewhere decent to set up!!! … Ignorant and selfish!!!

Next, I’d turn up 2 days early (I never did/could afford Friday practice, but turned up Thursday afternoons/evenings anyway to try and get a space of my own). But where all the garages were accounted for and people coning/taping off masses of prime real-estate outside for their mates I was generally with little luck even then …

As for arrogance and being condescending … Ok telling me it is about the rider not the bike .... and how important a race shock is ..... and “One thing you should learn …” and all of that sort of - ‘look I know it all you know jack listen to me’ type stuff etc etc ... now if that isn't condescending I don’t know what is. I tried to subtly say, “Look I have first hand experience myself thanks”… but then even still it carries on … especially bearing in mind that I have displayed a single example there of where I came 6th against 20odd 1000cc bikes … at a fast track like Snetterton … I’d say that was rider over bike!! Perhaps you might say to yourself "Ok he didn't win, but this dude might know something to be able to do that?!?! "That’s just one example … so perhaps you should have realised that I might know what it is like to ride harder than the next man and what it is like to have a lesser bike!! I also know what it is like to have my @rse handed to me on a plate!! but that’s all part of the game!!

Also from your side of the fence, what do you know about ever having an uncompetitive bike and what a difference it makes when you haven’t!?!? … you are married to a Suzuki bike shop owner and ohlins technician … your wheels alone are worth more than my bike!!!! .

More examples of paddock a-holes …. after me seting up the evening before, I have had people park their transporters right outside my awning overnight, I wake up in the AM and find them blocking me in so there is no way I can even get out with my bike …. If that’s not inconsiderate and ignorant, what is?!?! …. Bearing in mind your circles, you have always been IN a clique … that’s why you are probably blind to what it is like outside …

More a-holes …. Once when I was telling my spanner man what pressure I wanted in my tyres, bloke beside me (fiddling with his riders rather fancy looking spangly R1) looked over at my bike said “He’s not fast enough for that to make any difference” … I mean what a w****r!!! Why say that?!? …. That said, a sweeeeet moment for me was to follow though as in the race I beat his rider - bad!! and on return to the pits I said to my spanners (very loudly so this bloke could hear ) “Dude, them pressures were spot on cheers!!”

Spend a race day in my shoes and I am sure you would see the whole thing in a different light.

Is it cos you is Blue?

See, I more or less agree, but then I remember where this thread started. Knowing who it came from I knew there'd be more to it than a stupid question... But if I'd not, I'd have pointed and laughed, and told you to fit a 636 or ZX10R one and stop being stupid, or a Penske twin if you could afford it, or consider buying a SS600. So, I understand why you'd get the responses that you're taking as concescending, there's an assumption that you know nothing but it's not a wild assumption. See what I mean?

Nick, if it is any helpI have a brand new shock from a GSXR600K6 sitting here. May not be the right weight but at least it will fit (probably).

Yours if you can collect it.
