New 3G iPhone - will you get one?

Online orders were sold out on July 11th first thing in the morning after taking 13000 orders a minute apparantly, so I failed there.

I use both an N95 (work phone) and an iPhone 3G.

I love both. The N95 has a great camera phone, sports tracker is excellent and web is passable. iPhone is excellent for web, email and apps.

I would never use a Windows Mobile again - I have had 2 in the past and they were both useless - loved them to start off with, but droppinh 8-10 calls a day due to crashes and general windows nonsense really wound me up - thank good I am not self employed/freelance as I would have lost soooo much business thanks to M$. Truly awful. I love the look of the Diamond, but simply couldn't trust it in a business environment

Sadly I cant get one because he has one. It would have been ok if I had mine first, aint I sad.

Well I'm getting one for a few reasons. I know I don't have to justify it but my O2 phone is up for renewal, I want an ipod and I want sat nav or near as damnit. This seems perfect for me. Oh yeah and the Missus will be jealous and give me lots of kissy time if I let her look and touch it sometimes. Another oh yeah; I can spy on the org when I'm supposed to be working! Does anyone know if a laptop can be plugged in to use the net like that? I must admit I'm a bit disapointed in the camera but for the amount of pics I take with mine I'll let that go. I will be able to completely reset my N93 and gaffa tape it to my bike now to film stuff too!

BTW apparently apple will upgrade the old version for free. I heard that on the news or the gadget show I think.

Well it's here! I've been playing with it for a few hours now and I'm really impressed. I'm writing this on it. Bit diddly but the text dictionary is brilliant. Going to test the maps now.

i got mine last week! i absolutely love it. its just such a top gadget! only problem i've had so far is when you sit and surf online all day, play with gps, listening to itunes, browse your pics etc...... the battery will only last the day.

i'm still amazed at how it knows what i'm wanting to write!

I've just done 3 days, including using maps and it hasn't needed a charge - although I have been careful to try and condition the battery - no idea if it makes a difference, but my battery life is good.

Have just applied a screen protector, which was a real pain to do, but might stop the scratches. I also bought a leather slip case from china (off the 'bay)which protects it from the keys in my pocket. Think it cost about 5 quid delivered - better than the £20 CPW wanted for theirs
