I liked the falco for a long time, then i got to ride one. Oh well, another dream out of the window. It was about as exciting a Jacket potato with beans!

Nice looking bike, just totaly underwhelming, just like the Firestorm.

Hmmm. Thats a downer. Must not have been giving the throttle the right treatment me thinks . If you don't make use all the throttle it may appear to be more sedate than it is. I dunno.

What mods were done?

I agree. Nick the Greek's Falco seems like a good bike, it certainly went well on Saturday, makes a great noise too.

Also, for those of you who haven't met him yet, he seems like a top bloke too.

Full 2" Renegade system, larger throttle bodies, remap, different sprockets, suspension etc.

Believe me it was being used fully. I do have high expectations on other bikes. I see what people say and go on about, then i jump on and think, hmmm, whats all the fuss about. Thought that about the Gixxer thou. Mind bendingly fast but that was about it really. Its a shame, because i have always like the style of the falco and i still do.

You seem to be basing how good it is by how fast it goes?!

No... That would be silly. Its only as fast as a SS600, so nothing ground breaking. Its just unless you give a bike (in general) some beans it wont be exciting. A Big twin wont push you to rev it hard like a IL4 does cos you dont need to, so I was asking if he had done it . Sounded like Viney didnt find it exciting, a shame as I love mine in the twisties.

What exactly are you looking for Viney?

What did you think to the handling? Any idea if it had an aftermarket shock as without it the steering is slow cheers to the crappy stock shock

Cheers for that Tony. Nice to know im not a complete nobber

Nick
