it helps when you have spring rate/compressing tool where you can see it what it actually does

ive just quickly scanned through this thread and just wanted to mention that the battery box doesn't need to be cut AT ALL, its just the slightly easy option

all you have to do is move the under tray back, this is the reason why the mod needs to be done

that pic was taken before i moved the undertray back

i basically moved the undertray back, which moved the battery and tool box back making clearance for shock

I'm thinking of going with maxton since they acknowledge my specific weight & riding style where hagon sound like they have a "one size fits all" approach. I'll ask maxton if they can supply 15w... if they can, I'm ordering

Why does maxtons reply seem much less like "common-or-garden-sales-bull$hit"

I wouldn't just go on that, oil is oil is oil really... if they can suggest the best spring for your weight then go with it, sort the oil from elsewhere if needs be. Whatever they recomend is probably right...

I just meant as in "we supply springs and oil to suit your weight"... wheras hagon are like "yeah we've got some stuff for your bike...."

If they can throw the oil in with springs to suit me then I'm chuffed and don't mind spending a fiver more

Yeah hagons reply seemed like a form letter. I'd ask maxton what they say about using a k5 gsxr thou shock in the bike too. I wouldn't blame them for saying "it'd work better if you let us revalve it for you" but just out of curiosity...
