Where will they post technical stuff about their crappy melted bikes - in 'bikes talk and issues'? Surely we can't let them fill the 'sv tuning and tweaking ' section with guff about their stupid gay bikes.

I say don't let them in at all - lets be clear about this - its not an sv!

Does anyone have any links to the orig. advertisements for the curvy and the pointy?

its a similar bike from the same manufacturer and i reckon the org wil be able to provide some helpful (if not sometimes hurtful) advice to the future owners of the melted lego medley.

Its a new SV imo.

Although leaving the engine totally as it is, and not offering any form of power upgrade or anything, is very lame.

SV needs a bit more poke.

If they gave a new SV-S better quality sussies you could use more of that "limited" poke more often/earlier. If folk want more poke, buy a bigger engined twin. A 750cc SV would scare a few new-starts off I think.

Where do the DL weirdos go? They can have the Gladysisers.

Disagree, the Sv has the power it needs to make in order to fill the space in Suzuki's range that it's intended to. There's no sense in making the SV a true sports bike, that would divide sales between it and the GSXR600, and significantly would also lose the 'first bike' sales that the SV is so suited to.

I don't mean a full on sports bike power, I just mean a bit more. An 80-85bhp engine would be nice.

All right then you can take the p@ss out of me, Cos I'm picking mine up tomorrow.

I'm not gay, Don't wear silver trousers i just like V-twins.

I joined this website long ago. 2002 I think. I had 2001 curvy and I loved it, Sold her and and got myself a 03 SV1000S. Fell in love with that bike and then i sold her for my present bike, Z750J6. Don't like it, So i thought i would take a chance and get a SVF. Notice i don't call her Gladius, that's because the name is SH@T. I'll be ripping of the stickers the moment i get the bike.

I no this bike is getting a lot of mixed reviews esspechley it seems from the younger rider's on here and the SV1000 portal website, But me personally it is still a SV, just with a stupid name.

like most people i like modding my bikes, This one is going to be no different. I'm hopping a complete exhaust system from a 03 bike onwards will fit. Not sure about the headlight. I may change it to a round one and maybe put some clip-on's on if they fit.

If people are interested I'll post up a review once i get some miles on her.

Madjohn.
