![]() ![]() Just though i would conclude this thread. after putting about 400 miles on the gixxer im definetly happy i went with it, but at the same time i would happily have a go on a thou if i was offerred, the 750 is quick, but it can be ridden gently if you want to. The power isnt an issue imo, you just have be gentle and keep an eye on the speedo, im glad i went for the 750 and not the 600 as i reckon i prob would have got bored and wanted a 750 after a while. if i ever get a chance to have ago on a R1 ill let you know what i think. ![]() Now i just need to get the thing on a few long distance trips to really see what it is like. i loved the SV, but i wouldnt go back, least not to an S, might give the N a try for town riding. Ill get some riding vids up when i get a chance, no really anywhere to put the mount like there was on the SV. Last edited by Mej; 05-04-10 at 09:58 PM. |

awsome im glad your enjoying it, the power isnt as bad as people make out is it. i think as long as your respectful and crawl before you try walking (how ever that expression goes) then you'll be fine. Got my discs changed on warrenty so im well happy now, ll defo be more careful in what weather i take it out in, all cleaned up now so ill be waiting for the weather to come.

you see a few variation but dry weight is about 166kg i think.
feels redicously light compared to the sv. even though there isnt much real weight difference it is def noticable. yeah mine can be a bit lively in the wet so i tend to take it real easy. I wouldnt mind wacking it on the dyno to see how much BHP its really putting out. |
