, what could possibly go wrong?

Nah, the racing nerves will override the worry about loose nuts and bolts for the first couple of laps.

You thought of bringing it down to Three Sisters in Wigan or Anglesey?

Funny you should say that Flymo. When I used to race in the early 90' I measured my heart rate for a race and had a heartbeat of 210 on the start line and 180-190 for the race.

Now, and quite weirdly, its the opposite.
When I'm on the grid and waiting for the lights to go out I get an extreme serenity decent over me. Things go extremely calm and its as if time slows down. It seems to take everyone two seconds to get going after the red light goes out. I *know* for sure I could get off the line much quicker but if I went when *I* see the lights go out I'd ride into the bikes in front of me.

Even going up the first straight and round the first corner I'm extremely calm. But once the pack starts to spread out it's like a switch goes on and I suddenly turn into Red Mist Man and all pins are pulled!

About lap 8 of 10 it hits its peak and I find I'm ridiculously out of breath and sliding it out of every corner. I'm "manic" by this point. Shouting at myself and going mental. Full on race rage!

Its the best feeling in the world

Becasue I've missed Knockhill through work and Croft through not having the bike ready, I have to catch up on those tracks for my orange vest points. I was thinking about maybe Cadwell and Elvington with Auto66 but I'm not sure I'll get time now.

lol, you sound totally mental!

There are a few races at Three Sisters towards the end of the year, next meeting at Anglesey is the Anglesey Grand over two days. Its usually a good meeting in a beautiful setting, excellent track. Not too far for you boys.

You should have seen me in the early 90's racing 350 LC's! I'd ride around the outside of *anyone*!

I fell off a lot.

I like to think I was "outperforming the tyres"

Anglesey sounds great and I know its Steve from the Honda Hornet clubs fave track.

We'll see how we get on. I'm turning work away at the moment, I'm so busy so I'm having to squeeze inthe racing very carefully.

Whisper has it that the bike might, just might be...

STARTING this afternoon!! And there's no downpipes at all on it so the neighbours will love that!

Cross your fingers!

I've just chased up the last two remaining deliveries and one (the Akrapovic parts) is being posted tomorrow and I'm waiting for a call back regarding the race pads. I've gone with Ferodo race pads [part numbers FDB2048CP211 and FDB2049CP211] as they're half the price (literally) of the Performance Friction ones.

So the only things left to sort out are the numbers and a can of yellow paint/yellow fablon for the backgrounds.

I think we might just pull this off you know
