Try to avoid middle weekend if you can. That's when all the Italians come up.
Hofbrau tent is very entertaining.
Get there early, it's getting harder to get a seat in the evenings unless you have a ticket, you've already missed the window to get tickets though.

Have informed Paulino...but.....

So close...yet so far.....

I am having to bow out of this at such an early stage and am gutted as is Lily.....think she wanted rid of me for a week!!!!

As some know, Lily is starting a uni course in Sept - which is funded by the company. Lily has been informed this morning that the company have decided that although they are still funding her course - we have to pay for each semester and then get it rebated once each semester is completed. As a result, we need to pay a massive chunk of uni fees in September......so that puts the end to my involvement on Oktoberfest.

Hope you all have a blast and with a bit of forward planning can hopefully make next time around.

Well with the comments people are making about accommodation/ticket availability it sounds like the rest of us might struggle too drew.

And don't worry as said we'll do Junefest at my house of you guys wanna come up. I'll put a big marquee up, lots of different German beers, selection of sausages & schnitzel... I'll even download some umpah music - or you could just ask your bosses drew

No no no pete not cancelled, just drew can't make it. Still me dp & badger in my car with one empty seat now. Looking like we may need to camp though. Still interested?

Oh and for drew & lily I'm gonna organise Junefest: big marquee in my back garden, few crates of German beers, some German sausage/meats & some umpah choons. Will set a date soon
