Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
We were expecting/hoping it would be ready for this weekend Sean, but realistically, what with the freezing weather and state of credit card, an extra week would be useful.
We're holding fire on signing up on any rideouts that are coming up soon, just in case Jeff finds more trouble and we're bolloxed |

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
I've been really busy today! I've worked hard all week to get samples ready for the architects approval. After a long meeting with him yesterday (Didn't even leave site till half 6) Everything has been approved, my info required list has been returned and info provided, labour onsite has tripled and I have carpeted my office with the carpet bowls mat that was being skipped... Its been a day from hell, admitedly the day goes really quickly though, almost too quickly. I dished out a load of work to my labourer today (he's worth his weight in gold and took him from the last job to this one with me), mentioned some other bits that I wanted doing asap either later today or fist thing in the morning and he said "today?!", I looked at my watch and it was 5pm. I didnt stop all day (apart from 20 minutes to lay a carpet) and hadn't noticed the time. The chances are, you may not be seeing so much of me again on here till project end (its ok, I know I won't be missed). Its the same as in the summer, throw myself into work, do silly hours (currently about 60 a week), get well paid and then take a few weeks off to enjoy the roads in the summer |

It comes with time. 10 years ago, I never thought I would be in the position I am now. Jenn helped me loads when I was looking to change direction within the industry and all credit to her she has supported my every move, even driving me further to get what I want. Shes the best thing that has ever happened to me, its just a shame that we don't get to see eachother as much as we would like. The plus side is though, the time we do have is real quality time |

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
Yeah.
If the building game was still good here I'd be working saturdays/ weekends with my old boss, but he hasn't any work so that's something I can't do. Though I'll probably be helping dad with an electrical job he's starting soon. 10 years time I'll be 30, that's a long way away, but it'll be here far too soon no doubt. |
