Kenzie ... posted off the lenses this morning. They should arrive tomorrow.
Not at work today, which was good, but the weather wasn't. Put a B&W film in the OM10 and took a wander down to Easby Abbey and Richmond.
Of course, I didn't get even close to halfway through the film.

Thanks Yokohama, will let you know when I get back. In Leicester for a couple of days doing scuba so won't be back to work until Friday. Sometimes I can't fire off a whole film. The Olympus 35 ECR arrived today, all it needs is batteries. Sold as not working.

Yeah, £5 plus postage. They have another listed as an auction I think. It's fully auto so won't work at all without batteries. Pressing the shutter button sets the shutter so the press is a little heavy. Not so good for camera shake.

I have a digital underwater camera with suspension springs under the shutter button. Add the shutter lag to it and it's easy to get shaky pictures, mainly from the release of the button. I've adopted the technique of giving it a long, slow press and waiting a few seconds before releasing it.

I have a Sony underwater camera that came fro Gumtree for £20. Not used it yet. Used the go-pro today while diving.

I'm hoping so. Something arrived yesterday but nobody was in so it's waiting for me at the Post Office. Won't be able to get my hands on it until Saturday though.

No, this kind has the shutter coc-king integrated with the wind-on lever like the Contessa, I believe. It's a pretty basic camera, no meter, max speed 1/250, not even flash contacts by the looks of it (which is odd). The Pantar lens isn't anything to write home about though. You'd be better off with 122000617443 or looking out for a cheap Contessa (viewfinder model) with a Tessar lens, there were some around but nothing right now. Or 291776924798 viewfinder again, some sort of auto exposure system, maybe like Yoko's Symbolica.

Cleaning up the shutter on my Certo. Got to the mechanism fairly easily, the screws holding the escapement couldn't have been tighter, but got it out, couldn't get the self time out though. Pretty oily but getting there. Found a loose pin jamming the speed selector, think I know when it fell out but not where from, all seems to work and no obvious place it came from. Am being uber-careful with this one! I don't like flushing the whole shutter out with hexane as it'll move more dirt around but I've had to do it a bit this time, then spend a while swabbing the oil back off the leaves.
