I've just turned 33 and can't believe where the time has gone.

Unfortunately I didn't start an apprenticeship til 19 so I'll be getting on a bit by the time I've done my time, but I did well before I started, so its swings and roundabouts. But the company I work for seem quite keep to put me through a degree and push me as far as I can go which is good.

That sounds so much better than nearly 50, or only 11 years away from 60

Quite scary for me, both my previous gaffer's took early retirement at 55

My youngest will only be 16 when I'm 60

Mike, they were on the list of prefered contractors.

Do pm me your details though as I do prefer to put forward people that I know for work.

It never ceases to amaze me how the big compnies get the work, most of them have a terrible reputation and it's often the best of the worse gets the job. I'll send you a couple of cards Rob. Is there any specific criteria to meet?
