Clutch lever replacement
I recently came off my SV on an oil spill
 and snapped the clutch lever. I've disconnected it from the cable and replaced it with a new one but now i can't start her up. I've taken into account the fact that the clutch needs to be pulled in to start the engine but when I do it just makes a weird clicking sound, and the speedo climbs to around 30-32mph?! What the *#@!? Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Clutch cut out switch, may be faulty, you can cut and join the wires.
 Dunno if would affect the speedo.
