Makes me wonder how many more countries will be bombed and people killed in order to attempt to divert attention from trump's doings in the Epstein files.

Morning all. Very foggy here this morning after a couple of days of very pleasant warm sunshine. I suspect the fog is just down here in the valley so I'm going to head out and up onto the tops shortly.
The back injury is improving on a daily basis. Hopefully by next week I'll be fully recovered as I have a half day conference to attend up in Llandudno on Wednesday, and assuming the weather is reasonable I'd like to go on the bike. How is everyone's week looking so far?

Been a crazy month end week so far with lots more of it in store for tomorrow. It's been glorious here all week - bit misty yesterday until the sun burnt it all off, and clear but frosty this morning... and I've been stuck indoors. Two more full time weeks to go until I go down to part time but as there is still no sign of anyone taking bits of my role off me things might start to suffer at Marrch month end, as I have no intention of flogging myself to death or working unpaid overtime. The bosses have so far wasted 11 of my 13 weeks notice, and I am not delaying the change for them.

Good for you Trevor, stick to your guns on this. It's down to the bosses to pull their fingers out on this.

Morning all. A bit grey and dreary here, but I'm about to head out on the bike. I have to go to Welshpool so I'll use the opportunity to see how my back tolerates the shortish ride there and back, and gauge how well, or even if, I will be able to cope with the ride up to Llandudno on Wednesday.
How's the day for everyone so far?

Hooray! Ride to Welshpool and back accomplished with no issues. My back is no worse after the ride than it was before it, so I think I'm good to go on Wednesday. Let's hope the weather holds, it's looking good for the 11th at the moment.

I bought a new bike.....
I got a letter from Honda yesterday advising me that the final payment for the PCP on the Transalp is due at the end of May, that £5k give or take a few pence. It occured to me that it might be cheaper just to buy another bike on PCP as the deposit would be a lot lower than £5k. So I popped into the dealer and enquired. The result is that I've ordered a 2026 Transalp in white. I hand the current bike back and use some equity in that plus £1k deposit to fund it. I also increased the monthly payments from £99 to £150. I know its a bit boring buying the same bike again, but nothing else in the Honda lineup interested me or suits the intended purpose of bimbling around the Shropshire countryside.
