Quiet exhaust for Pointy?
I would like to replace the huge ugly can on my sv650K8 with a cheapish road legal can and keep the baffle in most of the time, can anyone recommend one that is well made and is reasonably quiet and does not upset the running of the engine, the standard can is so quiet last week a silly old woman drifted across the road on her bicycle as I was overtaking her, the only hand signal she did was when I saw her shaking her fist at me in my mirrors after I had swerved round her, she probably told a story about a yobbo speeding on a motorbike, I am a grandad and was doing 25mph

Re: reasonably quiet exhaust
I have a Beowulf can and with the baffle in it produces a lovely sound, not too loud either and stamped as road legal so no issues at MOT time. It also looks a lot nicer than the standard and even that is not overly ugly, just a bit unimaginative.
If you have a look at my build thread, you will see just how pretty the Beowulf is. Price is about £150 for a basic can and you can find Beowulf cans for the pointies here and curvies here. If it helps, I am a Grandma and regularly ride along in a world of my own doing less than twenty miles per hour, so you will be in good company! Good luck with the whole not running over old lady cyclists.

Most road exhausts with baffle fitted will be quiet. |
