Default clip on mirrors and side waterproof boxes 2 questions at once

hi,
two questions at once to save another thread. The bike is S version K6 07 plate or something close to this .... probably.

1. I would like to convert S version to sort of naked Frankenstein monster. The issue is I would like to keep clipons. The problem appear as mirror attachments. Anybody has an idea how to solve this? BTW. I like and use mirrors, tiny law cheaters are out of question .
2. Looking for side cases for bike cation trips. Something looking reasonable good on SV , not bulletproof alluminium cases loved by "big adventurers". The key point is waterproof. Staying in Scotland, it is always raining ... even if you think it isn't ( you just didn't realize your boots are full of water )
Thanks in advance.
Lukas

You could always fit bar-end mirrors but you might have to lose the current bar-end weights

gilies variobars and bandit (K5-6 IIR) sport mirrors as they have longer stalks. another problem is throttle cables and brake lines need to be longer as well. its a rabbit hole.....

your better off just forking out for a comfort bar kit.

i cant help with panniers as they ALL look stupid on the SV.

I thought about bar ends, the issue is the mirrors will be too far back to be useful I think

will have to find proper brackets and possibly they will fit.

I think sw-motech aero abs side cases look quite neat. but of course no mounting system to K6 because why bother with such old bikes? shame sw-motech, shame.

ahh the penny dropped..

for mirror attachment your better off fitting the naked lever brackets as room might be a bit tight using aftermarket clamps. IIR the brake one is just a bar and the clutch one is a bracket.

I was thinking the same. There's little or no room for this type of bracket but I was just giving options.

I had a small bar end mirror on my SV for years as the normal mirrors even with extenders have a poor view. It was a pushbike type and went on the end of the bar weight using a slightly longer bolt.
