Brake and clutch fluid flush on the VFR. Not a straightforward job thanks to the combined brake system, would you believe there are 8 bleed nipples on this bike.

Just got a tiny motorcycle from the dump shop $25. already spent over $50 on new tyres.
Hope to get it started tomorrow (we'll see)
Its for my 3 year old grand son I think he will take an interest.

It's not too bad of you follow the process in the manual.

Did a bit of work on my SZR660 today. I managed to wire in a 6-wire Domino start/run/kill switch in place of the 4-wire original. I'm not great at electrical, and the switches function differently, so it took me nearly half a day with the multimeter to work it out

Also sorting out some intake tracts for the new flatslide carbs. These are semi-temporary until I obtain the talent to build a suitable airbox. I've got an oval dual-inlet ramair foam filter "sock" to go over the cheap ebay billet velocity stacks.

The curved tubes are swaged so I've filled the inner lip with JB Weld and will smooth it out with a dremel once cured.

Coolant change on my K6 which was pretty easy including removing the reservoir for a clean out. Dare say it'll need topping up after the next run but its only the second or possibly even first change its had from new! Liquid looked fine although reservoir had some deposits on the walls and I struggled a bit to find the required 50-60% concentration new stuff....

Today it was a change of brake fluid. That I have changed before but it was still pretty brown and there was some muck in the reservoirs so I sucked them out with a large syringe before filling and bleeding through.

Ole Suzy started miss firing at 4000 revs - seemed to clear at 5000. I changed the front plug about a year ago never got round to doing the rear.
Thought I would start by putting the old plug back in, done. The removed plug did look as if it had run a little lean. Bike started ok, ran it down the road it stopped! After a minute or so it restarted - ran it up the road it stopped again. Restarted back up the drive stopped again. Thinking a fuel pump issue (if its got one) but can anyone offer a wider view on what other causes I could be looking at/checking before I start dismantling?

Thanks

Curvy or pointy?

Pointys have fuel pump in the tank, curvy has vac operated fuel pump under tank. Is your charging system and battery ok?

As it got worse when you moved a plug check the plug caps.

Have a look here,
