Default Tank Bag Recommendations.

2004 SV650N
I'm going on a three day ride around Scotland next month and am looking for tank bag recommendations.

I like the look of the Givi EA117 with Tank Lock, but am reading elsewhere that some people prefer magnetic fixings so they can move the bag to be able to lean on it.

What would you recommend?

A magnetic bag does give you more freedom in where you position it. I have a satnav mount on the right bar and that would foul against my bag on full right lock. Pulling the bag back a smidge solved that.

My bag was from Aldi many years ago and came in 3 pieces, a base with a map pocket, a mid section, a top section with various pockets and another clear map pocket. You can mix and match the sections which are all held together by zips. I never used the mid section as it made the whole ensemble too high for me.

I've used a magnetic Oxford tank bag for years. It's probably 10 years old now and still going strong.
