Re: Any got any thoughts on these??
I was thinking about one myself but I have heard they are a bit of a gimmick and they can be done by your self. Im sure somebody will be along to comment.

Re: Any got any thoughts on these??
Just reading old posts now. Apparently disconnect 2 wires in the gear box.
However for £40 I would prefer this. IF the performance was any better |

Re: Any got any thoughts on these??
You'll get a couple of reactions from people here.
1./ it doesb't do anything. 2./ the two wire trick works as well A long time back I investigated, the G-pak is resin sealled so you can't get it apart without destroying it, at the time they were about £100 so didn't do that. But what I did do was take a standard bike (well "ish") run it around a fast road circuit I knew well, then done the two wire disconnect and the same circuit, then reconnected the wires and plugged it the G-Pak aand went around again. The result, well the G-Pak was best, although followed closely by the wire mod, conculsion not really worth the money (although I got mine for £20 at a trackday). think it's still kicking around somewhere, although haven't seen it in a while. Cheers Mark.

Can't help thinking that dicking about with the ignition timing on a brand new bike is not a good idea however.

Re: Any got any thoughts on these??
on the curvy, the two wires which yo disconnect are a retardation for first and second gear. a lot of bikes have them. im not sure about the g-pack though, never known anyone to have one, so not sure what it does. the wire trick works as you can properly rev it in first and second unlike before where the timing was retarded.
as for the pointy, havnt got a clue. the best mod is the replacement injection module thingy or whatever it is. i not too keen on things with lots of electrics. too much stuff to go wrong!! |
