Hey DD,
Been there and done that in the past and I share your pain. Tye looks like a fine fella to me. You made the right decision though. Chin up. |

DD - My sympathies - sometimes the hardest thing to do, is to do what's right.

Re: A sad day
I'm so sorry you've had to go through this DD. I know exactly how you must be feeling, I had to do the same thing back in January. Hard times especially in the early days, but hang on to the memories of all the good times.

Re: A sad day
Yeah it was for the best, not fair to keep him hanging on for our benefit. It's the little things that we're so used to like cooking an extra couple of sausages for him when we have sausages, not being greeted by him when you come in that sort of thing.

Re: A sad day
Gutted for you. We are facing the decision with Jasper, he is slowly loosing weight, down from 11kg to 6.3. heart and guts issues. He still enjoys a couple of walks a day and is full of affection and is now having to have full on scraps with Jack as he is now pushing his luck in the pecking order
The vets are now talking to Michelle in terms of his quality of life. We think we probably have 3 months at most. he is now recovering from salmonella and the nasty effect on his rear end...yuk, it would appear that once you have a weakened immune system, you then become susceptible to every bug going.
