I've been giving thought to a replacement for my VFR. Like other posts on here I'll be down sizing I think. For the riding I do these days something light and torquey would be my preference, like the SV maybe. But I don't think I'd by a third SV.

Well, I decided to go for a 2022 XSR700. As usual I'm a hopeless negotiator judging by how quickly the dealer accepted my suggestion. I've bought it from Manchester since my local dealer couldn't get the colour I wanted. The Z900RS is a much prettier bike, one of the best looking bikes I've owned but with the clunky gearbox, the new chain whine (which others have too), the crazy fast idle revs and, honestly, it was too heavy for me - it had to go. I have mixed feelings. New bike will be delivered next Friday.
