I always just give it a once over with the hose to wash any road grime thats spashed up onto it. Pure water itself isn't too bad but when mixed with road crud its more corrosive.

Put the kettle on - enjoy a lovely warm cuppa soup/hot drink.

Feet up - telly on.

HTH.

Sitting in the rain isn't so bad tbh.

Its the grit, salt and dirt off the roads that causes the damage.

Just keep everything lubed and greesed.. Footpegs + levers, chain, stand etc...

On a really hard downpour when I know grits got everywhere, you can always rinse it off with a hosepipe and COLD water (warm water reacts). This is nearly a daily event for me in the winter.

During summer though, it'll be fine.

I tend to rinse it down with water afterwards, to get off any of the grit etc. Then I apply WD40 to pivoting parts and also to things like the axle bolt and nut and stuff to get the water off.

I'll lube the chain a bit aswell. if its not raining, i'll dry the plastics but thats only so they dont get the cover wet inside
